PTA - FOSPS

Friends of st peter’s (FOSPS)

Friends of St Peter’s School or FOSPS as we are more commonly known are a group of school staff, parents, friends, grandparents and parents of pupils who attended the school in the past. We work hard on behalf of the school to raise funds for new resources and opportunities for the children.

All parents and staff are automatically members of FOSPS but we always like people to come forward to offer their support. If you have the time, energy and commitment and you would like to help our school, please contact a committee member via the school office.

Mission Statement

It is our commitment to organise events that are fun, inclusive and accessible to everybody in the surrounding community of Yoxall Village.  At the same time, we are committed to raising much-needed funds for the benefit of all the children at the school now and in the future.

We are members of NCPTA (National Confederation of Parent Teacher Association) and have adopted a standard constitution.

Our committee is a team of volunteers who are elected at the association’s Annual General Meeting to manage the association on behalf of the members. The FOSPS committee take decisions on behalf of the members and have equal voting rights on matters which affect the association.

There are two types of committee members:

  1. Officers– these people have designated roles i.e. Chair
  2. Wider Committee members who work alongside and support the officers.

If you are interested in finding out more about our PTA please email the school office: yop-office@yop.jtmat.co.uk

As a group; FOSPS work hard to fund raise for the school. Each year the school’s resources and provision are not only enhanced by the funds raised by FOSPS but in increasingly difficult financial times, they support the learning of all pupils.

Our fund raising is vital in providing the children at St Peters with unique learning opportunities.  Without this they simply wouldn’t be able to go on trips, and have Christmas parties etc.

We are always on the lookout for new ideas, sponsorship and volunteers to help with events; if you would like to be involved in any way please do get in touch.
