After the wonderful success of last year’s Farmers’ Market, the school council has voted to repeat the event, making it even bigger and better than last year. On Friday 13th July, the school playground will be transformed into a bustling market, full of local produce and products.
This year the children will be designing lots more products to sell through our Design and Technology curriculum. Products on offer will include bird boxes, bug hotels, bird feeders, photo frames, bags and plant pots. This year, the children will also be designing food products and packaging, including biscuits! The Gardening Club will also be offering bedding and vegetable plants that they have grown.
We would love to share our lovely grounds with local businesses – if you sell local produce or crafts, you are welcome to join us for a small fee. Last year was very well attended, with most parents attending. This year, Year 6 are in charge of publicity and there will be posters around the village and press releases, so we are expecting an even bigger turnout. If you are interested in booking a stall, please contact the office.
